Automatic Delivery

No need to worry about running out of gas when you’re on Arrowhead’s Automatic Delivery. 

We take the information you give us, regarding the number of people at your residence and the propane appliances you are using; and design a delivery schedule that keeps you in fuel year round.  We track the temperatures and changing weather patterns and watch for seasonal consumption changes at your location as time goes on.  If you heat with gas, you will notice our delivery truck showing up more frequently in the cold months, and less often in the warm months.  Conversely, if you run a fishing lodge, we’ll plan on higher usage for your hot water and cooking in the summer months.

We ask that you keep us informed of any changes to your consumption pattern – such as more people moving in, or changing what appliances you are using, or a hot water leak.    If you use gas intermittently for heat (such as to supplement a woodstove or heat pump), we recommend the installation of an electronic tank monitor that will give us remote readings of your gauge — saving you from having to notify us when you switch your usage patterns each time.

If, for some odd reason, you should run out of fuel while on Automatic Delivery, contact our local office right away so we can remedy the situation!  If the office is closed, you will be given an emergency contact phone number to use.

Be sure to contact us when you know you’ll be moving, so that we can cancel your automatic deliveries.

Our target delivery time is when your tank reaches the 25% mark on the gauge, thus giving us an efficient delivery stop and leaving you with a safe margin of fuel to cover your needs in an emergency.  We will require you have an appropriate tank size to meet the needs of your consumption rate, coupled with the accessibility and distance of your delivery location, so that this reserve amount covers you for a good period of time.

If you desire a regular monthly bill, we can design a budget payment plan for you, that allows you to pay the same amount at the same time, each month.  We will track both your regular payments and your ACTUAL usage.  So at any point in time, you’ll be able to see your true balance of a credit that we owe you, or a small leftover balance that you owe us.  We recalculate the monthly amount at least once annually, to keep up with consumption or price changes.  Let us know if you’d like a budget plan proposal.  No extra cost to you, just an easier way to pay.

Will Call Service

If our Automatic Delivery is not right for you, we can set you up as a Will Call customer. 

You monitor the percentage gauge on your propane tank and let us know when you need a delivery. Your gauge will go all the way to zero before you run out of propane, but we recommend that you notify us when your gauge reads between 10-20% to save money. When you give us this extra heads up, we can put you on our standard delivery route and thus give you the lower Keepfull price.

If, however, you call needing an immediate delivery, you will pay a higher price per gallon, and possibly an extra call-out fee (for after hours calls or distant locations). Running out of gas can be inconvenient at best, so be sure to keep an eye on your gauge and call us before that happens
